What additional supplies are needed?
All the necessary materials will be provided in your kit. The only additional items you will require are some paper towels and a small cup of water for cleaning between paint colors.
What do I do if I have dry paint?
In case you encounter dry paint, we strive for transparency and maintain a very low error rate as we prioritize quality. However, there may be instances where a pod or two of paint was not sealed correctly during the manufacturing process, causing it to dry out. Unfortunately, dried paint cannot be revitalized. Our paint can typically last for up to a year when appropriately sealed.
Kuchora kits will only assume responsibility for paint defects within one month from the purchase date. Additionally, it's important to note that paint will inevitably dry out if left open.
Should I add water to the paint?
No, we advise against adding water to the paint. Our water-soluble acrylic paints are designed to have a creamy consistency and should be just thick enough to cover the surface, possibly requiring some extra effort, depending on the color of the paint. Adding water to the paint can alter its texture and affect the final result of your artwork.
What if numbers still show through?
A customer of ours suggested using a white-out pen or a white-colored pencil to cover the numbers, which worked great for them. Before painting over the number, locate the number and space on the canvas to ensure that it is covered properly.
How long does it take to complete a Kuchora kit?
The time it takes to complete a Kuchora kit can vary as it largely depends on the design of the kit and the pace at which an individual paints. Kuchora kits are designed to be a relaxing and enjoyable art form, where the process is just as important as the finished artwork. Some individuals may finish their kit quickly over a few days, while others may prefer to take their time and work on it intermittently over several weeks.
Ultimately, the timeline for completion is entirely up to the individual.
Why do you use acrylic paint?
We use acrylic paint in our Kuchora kits because it provides a non-toxic, water-based alternative that is easy to clean up. Additionally, acrylic paints offer bright and vivid colors, along with a creamy texture that is ideal for application on the canvas. Overall, acrylic paints are a versatile medium that allows us to create high-quality kits that are both safe and enjoyable to use.
Should I seal my completed artwork?
While it is not necessary to seal your completed artwork, adding a light coat of clear acrylic sealer is a great way to provide extra protection against dust or dirt. Clear acrylic sealer is available in multiple finishes, so you can choose the one that best suits your artwork.
Should I clean my brush when I am switching colours? How do I clean my brushes when I am done?
Yes, it is recommended to clean the brush when switching colors. To clean the brush, you will need to keep a cup of water and some paper towels nearby. When switching to a different color, rinse the brush well in water and dry it with a paper towel before using the new color. When you have completed your artwork, clean your brushes thoroughly with warm water and soap, making sure to remove all traces of paint from the bristles.
After cleaning, reshape the bristles and allow the brush to air dry before storing it.
